Jim has been taking pictures since the age of 9, had his own darkroom by age 11, and then started dabbling in digital when living in the Scottish Highlands where all the darkrooms chemical kept freezing…

After a career spanning Social Work, Lumberjacking, Regional Arts Officer (Highlands) and Arts Action Officer (Glasgow) Jim has had a very rewarding 13 years of full time photography based in York, UK.

He likes to roam the world, camera in hand, and snap unusual places for the biggest pleasure of our eyes.

He now works and lives in York with his wife and children who accompany him on his international photographic journeys.
